Alternate Power International is looking to build more install teams.  We are based out of Newmarket, Ontario.  This is a consisten employment of at least 40hrs/week.

Position:  General Labourer

Job Pay: $23 per hour

Duration: Full Season until Snow

Hours:  Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Start Date:  Immediately, 2023

Job Description:

You will be working with other crew members installing solar panels or solar pool heating systems. You must be able to lift up 50-75 lbs.  Job includes lifting of solar panels, solar racking/rails, and fastening items together.  You must not be afraid of heights as solar installation is mostly on building rooftops and involves climbing ladder.

Having experience working with your hands and using hand tools such as wrenches, drills, skill-saw, socket sets, etc. is mandatory.  You must have attention to detail.

It is also important to get along others on the crew.

You may be required to travel away from home for a few days at a time.

Requirements:

  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License
  • Experience working on rooftops
  • Some construction experience

Additional Assets (not required)

  • Valid Work at Heights Certificate
  • Valid Boom Lift Operator certifications
